Google gives you search results and almost bottomless e-mail inbox and now can make calls for you. The new Google Voice in the company's almost perfect and almost entirely free VoIP service. Google Voice uses a single, permanent, virtual phone number that when called will simultaneously ring any or all of your phones.
You can also make outbound Internet-based calls through the interface's Call dialog box. It can also records incoming calls and features an excellent online voice mail system. Calls within the continental USA are free, but you'll have to pay to call Hawaii (2 cents per minute), Alaska (4 cents per minute), Canada (1 cent per minute), or Mexico (8 cents per minute).
